Reports:

Chair: Not too much to report since the last meeting guys. Our events committee has been really active and I’m happy to see that, and to see some new events coming soon, especially the dance since we’ve never actually held our own official dance. I have been trying to spread the word, and I am going to push for a good attendance of new faces at the next Committee Meeting in April. I think it would be great if we could get some new people interested in ICYPAA and SMICYPAA enough to sign up and go down to New Orleans in the Summer with us. I’m looking forward to this upcoming month and the various committee meetings that will be occurring.
Travis W.

Co-Chair: Still helping wherever needed and possible. I’ve been helping out with events planning. I’m looking forward to the big dance. I’ve posted all the info on our website. I’m happy to see all the SMICYPAA newcomers here today. Thanks for the opportunity to be of service.
Ian S.

Bid Book Committee: Nothing to report.
Susan Mc.

Outreach Committee: We’re working with Kansas City on some possible events, and possibly another campout. Jason went to fulfill a speaking commitment at Comtrea, and would like a list of people who are willing to go out to their teen center at 4pm on Tuesdays to give a one hour talk, with time for comments and questions. If any one’s interested in helping out with this service opportunity, contact Jason, our Outreach Chair.
Bill P., Outreach Committee Co-Chair

Hotels / Facilities Committee: We are now holding our dates for Memorial Day 2007 at the Renaissance. I am meeting with Rose from the Millenium Hotel on Tuesday, March 20th. I will be contacting the Adam’s Mark soon. Also, I have my hotel room secured for ICYPAA 48!
Mike P.

Events: We had an events meeting and 4 plus the chair attended. We figured out the dance was going to be March 25th and it is going to be a modern style dance. The dance is going to be at 5700 Leona in the City. We also discussed possibly having a mystery night in April and we’re definitely having a BBQ on the Monday of memorial weekend. We need someone to get on that ASAP. Next meeting will be Sunday the 12th to discuss the dance and mystery night.
Brian L.

Merchandise: Shirts will be on sale at the next event.
Dan H.

Group Communications Committee: There will be a sub-committee meeting on Tuesday, March 28th at 8pm at the Starbucks on Lindbergh and Clayton in Frontenac. I need a lot of help and it will be great if anyone can come and be willing to divvy up district meetings to go to. I am looking forward to the dance coming up – I know it will be a huge success.
Chelsea H.

Corresponding Secretary: [Not present]

Old Business: None.

New Business:

Discussion was held the two procedures manual changes; vote on such changes to be held at the next meeting

General sharing, questions, and suggestions:

Discussion was held regarding a proposal to lend our name to the “Back to Basics” event so that such event could send out flyers through Central Services (which requires Group or AA entity affiliation to use their mail-out service); Motion was made to lend the name by Brian L.; Motion carried no second.
